PRODUCTION MANAGER

Position Summary:
Production Management encompasses supervising, planning, and coordinating, budgetary, design and technical aspects of a production. This is a full time position

Essential Functions:
• Supervising all employees in the various departments related to Scenic Design, Electrics, Back of House staff, Sound, stage crew and props.
• Coordinate all acts for Company owned shows. Includes handling vacations, fill ins and rehearsals. Schedule should be prepared at least for a month out.
• Manages all human resource aspects for production and technical crews to include hiring, terminations, training, workmans comp claims and osha training.
• Prepare emergency plans and work in conjunction with the Theater Manager and operational team so that everyone knows what to do in cases of emergency such as power failures or threats. Remember the most critical component is to not have all guests leave the room immediately unless there is immediate danger. Many times there are false alarms so conduct customers to remain in the room until issue is resolved or evacuation is definately needed. Have bullhorns, flashlights and radios available to communicate in case of emergency. Work in conjunction with the facilities manager of the mall as well.
• Must work in conjunction with the technical manager
• Creates work schedules and ensures that work areas are properly equipped, maintained, safe, clean, operable and ready for showtime.
• Handles all prop sets with the producer to include design, set up, safety, appearance and functionality.
• Handle special event projects and work with the corporate office and events team to put together events
• Create cue sheets on google docs for all shows that are "tech friendly" so that anyone can step into that role and be familiar with the standard cues of the show.
• Work with lighting and tech designers as needed for all shows.
• Conduct the load in's and load out's of show props and make sure equipment does not leave the building while shows owe us revenue.
• conduct and coordinate "maintenance calls" as needed and prepare a schedule of this in advance.
• Keep showroom safe at all times and know OSHA guidelines for all stage and back of house areas
• Keep all extra props and materials that are not in use in the overflow storage area
• Have a backup supply of critical equipment in case of equipment failure
• Have all shows backed up on a hard drive or thumbdrive in case the board crashes and we need a backup
• Redirect audio as needed and run cabling to appropriate areas.
• Keep all video screen clean and projectors free from dust and debris
• Blow out lights every two weeks and set up a schedule for all lighting and repairs
• All shows are to start and stop on time and not run too far over to cause other shows to start late. Be able to meet with producer and cut show time down in a moments notice so that the show ends on time.
• Be able to have backup talent available in a moments notice so the show always goes on with the best possible acts and performers
• Hold crew meetings and discuss all upcoming projects, issues and schedules
• Cross train crew on several shows so that there is never only 1 person that knows a show. Have backup light, sound and tech people for each show well trained and cross trained
• Call "work calls" as needed
• Keep an inventory list of all technical items such as sound boards, speakers, audio equipment, video equipment, cables, projectors etc. The list should should show is working, not working and where it is located. This should include model number and type of equipment
• Maintain a great working relationship with all key vendors and affiliates such as : 4-wall entertainment, The Bulb Man, Scenic Design etc. Negotiate all inventory item costs every other month for best possible pricing.
• work with electrical teams for props and necessary electrical
• Meet with Musical Director nightly to make sure there are now outstanding issues. Keep Band carts current, screens in good working order etc
• Have a complete set of architectual plans for all show venues for potential acts, shows and permits. Know ceiling heights, stage widthes etc.
• Assemble linesets, stage plots and packages as needed
• Know how to control and use the HVAC systems in all showrooms and plan for the day so the customer is always comfortable in the showroom. When it is your day off coordinate with the theater manager
• Work directly with producers for any show related needs: IE: Microphones, headsets, video etc
• Have a system in place to charge all the batteries for the wireless headsets to avoid and unnecessary downtime or loss of audio. Batteries are to be freshly charged at all times
• Make sure all clear com radio devices are working properly
• Schedule big maintenance projects during slow show periods so that show are impacted during show performances
• Understand the fire life safety system and who to call in case of alarms going off.
• Coordinate with producers when do doing rehearsals in the showroom. Schedule times, crew etc
• Work closely with Company manager and Talent for all shows.
• Understand all aspects of the Stripper Bar in regards to productions, audio, video and make sure Bar Manager and Theater Manager have an understanding of the systems and are trained.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to design and create stage sets.
• Knowledge of all the entertainment in the Las Vegas area.
• Ability to budget and handle financial accounting for production department of the theater.
• Knowledge of technical production equipment.
• 5 years production experience in a Las Vegas Showroom
