About David Saxe Productions
David Saxe (Born August 29th, 1969) is one of Las Vegas‘ most famous and successful show producers and is quickly emerging as one of the towns‘ most prolific cultural icons. From his early days, David Saxe proved he was born for show-business. With his heritage rooted in the Las Vegas entertainment industry, he naturally took to the path of bringing joy to audiences in the style that his hometown is known for. Born to a father who was band leader for the legendary Rat pack, and a mother who danced for the world renowned Folies Bergere, David got his earliest taste of show business at a very young age. As a young man, David was keen on providing entertainment for corporate dinner meetings, arranging musical instruments for the band and rigging his own special effects for guests, showing early signs of his natural affinity for the show industry. It is no surprise that by the age of seventeen David was helping his older sister, a magician by the name of Melinda, rise to national fame. He helped Melinda arrange her very first show, as time went on Melinda would end up having a long and successful career as Las Vegas‘ own First lady of Magic.
With Melinda appearing everywhere from “Oprah” to “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, David Saxe had helped to bring his first project to national recognition, making him the youngest show producer in Las Vegas history! He would spend the next few years helping Melinda with her expanding career, and by the age of Thirty, David would open up his first Theater in San Francisco. By this time David had already produced 25 shows, putting on performances across the country and even in Japan. As he looked to expand his Business, David obtained the popular “V Theater” in 2004, located inside the Miracle mile Shops of Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Immediately after getting his hands on his first resident Strip venue, David sought to make a show that would put V Theater on the map! With “V-The Ultimate variety Show” he did just that, putting together Las Vegas‘ most popular and entertaining variety show to date. For the next six years David would enjoy phenomenal success thanks to V Theater, V-The Ultimate Variety Show and other resident productions. Due to the long running success of the V Theater, in 2010 David had the opportunity to purchase what is now the $34 million dollar Saxe Theater, home to the award winning “VEGAS! the Show”.
All of these ventures merged together to help David Saxe give back to the city in a very big way. David joined the ALS of Nevada‘s Board of Directors, and subsequently raised $300,000 dollars by means of his annual fundraiser, “The All Star Las Vegas Show” which he holds every February. For this contribution to the community, David Saxe was awarded the key to the city of Las Vegas and had the date of February 22nd named “David Saxe Day” in his honor. But this wasn‘t the first time David was publicly honored, in 2006 the UNLV‘s College of Hotel Administration named him “Industry Executive of the Year” for his work in the entertainment field and as an adjunct professor for the university. Now as successful as ever, David Saxe now produces more than twelve shows on the Las Vegas Strip and along with his company David Saxe productions, maintains both V Theater and Saxe Theater. With a more than 15,000 square foot production studio in Downtown Las Vegas, and employing more than 250+ people across the valley, David Saxe has helped make more contributions to the community and local industry with his success than any other producer in Las Vegas.
